The Mortal Instruments

Highlight these if you see them: this is a spoiler  Its a spoiler so If you haven't read the series I don't recommend reading them.
The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.
This series is my personal favorite. I loved the plot and all the characters. My favorite character would probably have to be either Simon or Sebastian.  Even though he is a bad guy lol. I didn't want the series to end.
Don't read what the rest of the series is about if you have just started or haven't started City Of Bones because it will most likely ruin the whole series for you.
Heres what the City Of Bones is about:

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

Sound Good? I thought so :).  I'm not a huge fan of Clary since she kisses Jace, Simon and Sebastian.
The beginning of it was pretty good and I really got into it. All of the books left me on a cliffhanger. Obviously! I like romantic novels so I recommend this to everyone who wants an action packed, romance novel to read because that's what I like to read. And this series fulfilled that.
I rate this 5/5 stars.
If you have any recommendations for books just comment down below and I will possibly read it and review it.

January 11th, 2013

I just finished reading Lullaby the second book in the Watersong Series by Amanda Hocking. I will be putting both Wake ( the first book) and Lullaby in this post. I hope everyone had a good holiday.

I'll start by saying sorry for not posting for a while but now I'm posting more than before.

I'll start with Wake:
Gorgeous. Fearless. Dangerous. They're the kind of girls you envy; the kind of girls you want to hate. Strangers in town for the summer, Penn, Lexi and Thea have caught everyone's attention—but it’s Gemma who’s attracted theirs. She’s the one they’ve chosen to be part of their group.

Gemma seems to have it all—she’s carefree, pretty, and falling in love with Alex, the boy next door. He’s always been just a friend, but this summer they’ve taken their relationship to the next level, and now there’s no going back. Then one night, Gemma’s ordinary life changes forever. She’s taking a late night swim under the stars when she finds Penn, Lexi and Thea partying on the cove. They invite her to join them, and the next morning she wakes up on the beach feeling groggy and sick, knowing something is different.

Suddenly Gemma is stronger, faster, and more beautiful than ever. But her new powers come with a terrifying price. And as she uncovers the truth, she’s is forced to choose between staying with those she loves—or entering a new world brimming with dark hungers and unimaginable secrets!

I really enjoyed the starting to this series, it was a great book and I loved the characters and how descriptive Amanda Hocking made the book. My favorite character would probably have to be either Gemma or Harper, sorry I don't have alot to say about it, I read it a while ago. I find Penn very rude and bossy especially in the second book.
Lullaby: Lullaby was a really good book aswell, I love the plot to the story. Amanda Hocking is a great author and I recommend reading the series. BTW the book leaves you on a cliffhanger,I was freaking out because it left me on a cliffhanger and the next book isn't out yet.

Harper only wanted a safe, normal life. But when her younger sister Gemma runs off with a dangerous clique of beautiful girls, Penn, Thea, and Lexi, everything changes. Vowing to get her sister back no matter what the cost, Harper must face dangers unlike any she's ever experienced.

I recommend this book. I rate it 5 stars.
